I literally laughed out loud. I'm sure it's a typo and was supposed to read $5.99. If someone would actually spend that on whiskers I've got some bridges to sell you.

I wouldn't use them anyhow. I don't believe for second that they would last any length of time on my M405!

My 405 has whiskers served on by Boo and not a single whisker has budged. Proper placement and installation is key to longevity.Squatch wrote:I wouldn't use them anyhow. I don't believe for second that they would last any length of time on my M405!

Re: Am I reading this right?...,,
a lot of the price has to do with the name. most things that are popular name brand items the cost is higher. I definetly won't be encouraging any friends to by them

....$10 cost of Whiskers, $49 cost for purchase of Excalibur by Bowtech.
....makes perfect sense to me!

Well then, if they actually do anything to reduce noise and last, then maybe I will try them!Normous wrote:My 405 has whiskers served on by Boo and not a single whisker has budged. I tried whiskers and they did quiet the bow a little, then I did a little testing thru the chrono. Micro Camo and Nightmare tested. First with the whiskers and a 415 gr Zombie 302 and 303 fps. Same string without the whiskers . Arrow was the same, 321, and 320 fps. When I tested with a 100 gr head to make the total 390 gr. both bows did 330. 18 to 19 fps was more then I was willing to give up. I had a friend stop by while I was shooting and I left him shot the Camo. I was really surprised at the difference in noise when standing back as compared to shooting. I should say I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet the bow was. This was all done using Rhino Strings .
