Just got it today. Installed the propane bottle and lit it up. Was very easy to light and works well. Is very quiet on the low setting and not too bad on high. No smell either. Now to see how well it holds up in the long term. Seems to be well built. Bought from Amazon. http://www.texsport.net/outdoor-propane ... p-560.html

Mine is very quiet and doesn't hiss. Yours must of had a leak or something.
I do like that this one is adjustable.

I use a larger version with a 20lb tank for ice fishing in a tent. Tent has two vents in the top. Hunting blinds have windows cut out.........so there is adequate venting.................too much venting lol. A 20lb propane tank fits snugly inside a milk crate.............very stable.

Sorry no leaks all joints tested with soapy water for leaks ,,, If there was a leak that close to the flame it would be another source of heat real soon,, i.e. leak would be on fire ..See how quiet it is when your setting in a quiet woods,,,
I used it today for my hunt. The woods were very quiet hardly a breeze at all. It was pretty quiet on the lowest setting. Did a good job keeping me warm in the Ground Blind. It was in the low to mid 30's this morning. I didn't try to heat up the blind since I have one of the big windows open so I can shoot. I kept the heater close enough to keep me warm but not so close as to burn me. Maybe I got an improved version or ???
I'm happy with mine so far.
Thanks for the feedback!!
