Flat is one thing. Square is another.
Just buy a good aluminum flat nock and replace them.
The old ones may be pressed in or glued in. A short dip in hot water should loosen the glue.

An excellent way to eliminate that issue!!thelopeztribe wrote: ↑Mon Nov 26, 2018 5:20 pmThe shop didn’t have any flat nocks that fit the arrow so I just bought an Easton arrow with a flat knock so I can begin my process of elimination.

Those rounded edges might be ok but I personally wouldn't use them. The string could go over the neck and arrow. If your arrows have a 0.30" ID, I would be happy to send you some mock that I know will work.

For these you will need nocks to fit 0.284” inside diameter arrows.thelopeztribe wrote: ↑Mon Nov 26, 2018 2:54 pm
Thanks Keith. They are 20” pile driver carbon express arrows. I am taking one of the bolts to a local archery place to get some flat Nocks. I appreciate the offer though.

Re: Help newbie here! Problem when shooting Exocet crossbow
Damn!! So you are saying this is the wrong kind of flat nock? I put the BEEs on my wish list for Christmas. Will these not be good then? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K3XG4TA/ref=ox_sc_mini_detail?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1LO47FDTYT3T6
I have no idea what the ID is on these are other than the guy at the shop said 21s were too small and the 22s were too big?

Thanks. How do you know this or find the information? I did a search and couldn't find anything.Bcxbow wrote: ↑Mon Nov 26, 2018 9:03 pmFor these you will need nocks to fit 0.284” inside diameter arrows.thelopeztribe wrote: ↑Mon Nov 26, 2018 2:54 pm

I had a pile driver in my collection that I measured with digital calipers and I also did find references on-line varying from .284 to .288thelopeztribe wrote: ↑Mon Nov 26, 2018 11:05 pmThanks. Re: Help newbie here! Problem when shooting Exocet crossbow
Good thinking....but I'll confess that I have done this before on some older Carbon Express arrows. The trick is just to make sure they are square when you sand/grind them down. You could try to make a jig or something, or use an arrow squaring tool. Another thought would be to buy some Al inserts for those arrows and use that as a nock . Should be able to get those at teh archery shop. It would be square, and the hole in the center doesn't matter.thelopeztribe wrote: ↑Mon Nov 26, 2018 5:20 pmHa! Funny that you say that because last night I was starting to look at ways to make it flat, but then the safety side of me said this is how people get injured because they cut corners or do stupid things like this and so I decided not to pursue that. LOL I’m not saying that your suggestion is stupid, in fact I like the way you think. The shop didn’t have any flat nocks that fit the arrow so I just bought an Easton arrow with a flat knock so I can begin my process of elimination.
