Looking for new crossbow
Hello everyone, looking to purchase a new Excalibur bow, but honestly i havnt put much time yet researching,, i am currently an Excalibur user, past bow was the Equinox, i now shoot the matrix 380, love it but want another, so would the new assassin series b a good hunting bow? Or go to older matrix 405,? Or are there past models that are just as good? I know its a question that can vary, just looking for peoples opinions to help steer in a direction. Thnx all

Yes speed , was actually going to make my 380 my back up, just looking for a newer bow,,, i know not gaining much, maybe what 20 fps?
Re: Looking for new crossbow
Hard to beat the Matrix 380. I certainly would not go to something more complicated in terms of cocking and devices. Just my honest opinion.

Thank ya, why was looking for input, looking to have 2 bows, and sticking with Excalibur, peoples view on the 405? I will start doing some reading up on forum’s

If you really want a backup to the 380, get another one, this way your arrows are the same, etc.

Or perhaps a Micro 380?

Another 380 makes a lot of sense for what Dan mentioned. If you don't mind 2 different arrow lengths then a 405 Matrix or a 380 Micro would be a fantastic choice with the later being a better choice considering what you own. If you just want a back up, a Mag Air would be a good choice.

Please don't listen to me. I went that route with the Matrix 380, and 355, then got the itch and messed that all up. It was real nice to have ONE quiver in my truck for the entire season regardless of which bow I grabbed on my way out. Now I have 4 different quivers of arrows, and really have to PLAN my hunting outing. I do have a new favorite that so far uses the stock arrows that came with the package, and probably will hunt the entire season with it.

Evening excal owners I haven't been able to shoot either of my excal's in almost a year due to health issues. I am hoping within the next month to be shooting again. I was wantng a new micro 380 to go with my suppresser but don't know much about them. anyone have one and care to comment.
Thanks Larry
Thanks Larry
Re: Looking for new crossbow
Larry, the 380 Micro is a fantastic bow! Totally unnecessary power but so are most of my bows. Trigger is great, limbs are a extremely reliable and it's much lighter feeling than the 400 Suppressor. If the 380 Micro was available when the 400 Suppressor came out, I may have bought it instead of the 400. But who am I kidding, I'd have bought both eventually

Re: Looking for new crossbow
I'm guessing the average guy needs a crank to cock this model?

It's all about physics!!
If you're built low to the ground, they'll be harder to cock.
Tall folks ( like yours truly), have more leverage.
Cause we ain't "average"!!
No crank here...except the one typing!!
