Today’s crossbows are faster than ever before. Faster crossbows can deliver more downrange energy.
Optimizing length can provide better balance while shorter crossbows can be better suited for maneuverability and tight spaces.
The weight shown on the left is the overall weight without accessories installed, while the weight on the right is the weight with all included accessories installed.
Draw effort is the weight of resistance while cocking a crossbow. Most crossbows require minimal effort to draw with a cocking aid.
Modern crossbows are drawn back with a cocking aid. Excalibur crossbows use attachable cranks, integrated cranks, and rope cockers to achieve as little as 12 lbs of draw effort.

I'm from Italy and use crossbows just for target shooting. Here it's not so simple to find Excalibur crossbows. However, since 2012 I bought 7 of them (Exomax, 2 Equinox, 2 Matrix Mega 405, Micro 335 Nightmare and so on). The Micro Mag 340 Kryptek Raid is the last I bought. I love all of my Excalibur crossbows. They are sharp, solid and reliable. Never had problems with them and when it happened the Excalibur guys always helped me to solve them. The Micro Mag 340 is light, quiet, low vibration, deadly sharp, easy to cock, easy to shoot, easy to take care of it. It's really a small, light, balanced and handy tool. Good bargain!
The Mag 340 is an amazing crossbow. Once I got the included scope dialed in at 20 yds, my second shot at 20 yds ROBIN-HOODED the first arrow. Perfect at 30 and perfect at 40. This bow is easy to use and accurate. Absolutely live this bow. Set it and forget it. Built for a reason and a purpose and it delivers!!!
After 40+ years of compounds, recurves and longbows, I needed a change to stay interested....especially for cold weather. This crossbow is dead accurate, powerful, fast and easy to use. It is a quality, sturdy build and delivers big time in all areas of performance. The biggest part to me is.....this crossbow allows you to have complete independence in maintenance and care. You would NOT need an archery shop unless extreme circumstances occurred. String changes and brace height adjustments are a total breeze and done by YOU in minutes for FREE. This is a HUGE advantage not offered by other companies and one of the biggest selling points for me. I do not want to be at the mercy of a shop tech for simple string issues and maintenance. The recurve limbs are simple and strong and this crossbow is PLENTY quiet for any application you'd put it through. The hand and auto crank both work perfect. I don't like mechanical broad heads at all and this is just fine with this model because it shoots 2 blade fixed heads identical to the weight matched field point. Excalibur offers a level of independence, quality and performance that is just not found anywhere else that I can see. I would be happy to advise you of the things I don't like about this model, but there are none. It is simply an intelligently engineered and simple crossbow that I can give a 5 star rating with full confidence.
Being new to crossbow hunting, I had concerns that a 340fps bow might be a disappointment. Obviously some crossbows are advertised at 500fps. The Micro MAG was priced so fairly and I appreciate Excalibur’s designs so much that it was worth taking a chance. The bow did not disappoint at all when it passed through a mature whitetail with a 100 grain 2” mechanical and buried the bolt all the way to the fletchings in the ground behind him. The buck did not make it far and died within 20 yards of my stand. This bow is so compact and light weight, I do not have any complaints about it. I also use the Tact 100 scope which has had some durability issues but the bow itself is flawless. I was also concerned that I would not be able to cock the bow, but that is not an issue at all. I wouldn’t expect anyone to have issues cocking it either unless you’re seriously disabled or a very young hunter.
Love this crossbow, not too wide and if you think it’s only 340 FPS is low ITS NOT! Great to handle in the brush and light enough also
